Dana Perino Brings Minute Mentoring to San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. —Future women leaders from the San Diego area will gain the unique perspectives and advice of some of the country's most successful women in politics and business at the Minute Mentoring event taking place Monday, August 30 in Downtown San Diego.  The brainchild of former White House press secretary and political commentator Dana Perino, Minute Mentoring pairs accomplished professional women with young professional women in a dynamic, round-robin style mentoring event.

The event is free to participants and begins promptly at 4:15 pm with opening statements from Perino.  After the opening, the mentees will participate in a series of four 15 minute mentoring sessions with some of San Diego’s prominent women professionals.  A cocktail reception will follow.

"Young professional women are hungry for mentoring from professional women, and professional women very much want to give the benefit of their experiences to the next generation of women leaders," said Minute Mentoring founder Dana Perino.  "The reality is that there isn't enough time in the day to reach as many young women as we'd like, but I wanted to create a program that could bring together a group for a fun, fast-paced, advice-packed evening where 'mentees' can get the best advice that leading professional women have to offer."

Perino teamed up with Qualcomm, Cook + Schmid, and Rebuilding Together San Diego to create Minute Mentoring, a unique, round robin-style forum in which accomplished female professionals share their experiences with their young professional counterparts during the rapid-fire meetings.  The San Diego event will include some of the city’s most accomplished professionals as well as nationally-known leaders.  The team of mentors include Dana Perino, Karen Hutchens of Hutchens PR, Molly Cartmill of Sempra, and  Peggy Johnson and Christine Trimble of Qualcomm.

Space is extremely limited and advanced registration is required.  Those wishing to attend the event as mentees should contact brooke@danaperinoandco.com.  For more information about Minute Mentoring, please visit www.minutementoring.com.
