New Pass Offers Unlimited Entry to Balboa Park Museums and Institutions Gift vouchers now available for holiday gift giving
SAN DIEGO – Just in time for the holiday season, Balboa Park Cultural Partnership (BPCP) announced a new pass, the Balboa Park Explorer™, which offers unlimited general admission to 17 Balboa Park institutions for an entire year. Explorer gift vouchers are available and make the perfect gift for friends and family.
“For the first time ever, there is a pass that can be used at 17 Balboa Park institutions, as many times as an Explorer wants, all year long,” said Peter Comiskey, BPCP executive director. “The cost savings, convenience and discovery opportunities of owning a Balboa Park Explorer is exceptional and is the perfect gift for any San Diegan who enjoys art, culture, history, science, gardens or architecture.”
The Balboa Park Explorer can be purchased at www.balboapark.org/explorer and comes in a personalized plastic card similar in size and shape as a credit card. The cost for an individual adult Explorer is $129, students and seniors $99 and families $199. The family pass covers two adults and up to four children ages three through 17. Larger families can add children for $25 each.
“Owning an Explorer pass is quickly becoming a badge of honor for San Diego residents who want to proclaim, ‘Yes, I support and love Balboa Park’s cultural institutions!’” said Comiskey. “The Balboa Park Explorer is a great gift for anyone on your holiday shopping list, including families, grandparents, retirees and young singles.”
From now through spring, purchasers of the Balboa Park Explorer will have the words “Charter Explorer” stamped onto the card. This elite designation will remain with the card owner as long as the Explorer pass is renewed each year.
