Two partners from Cook & Schmid were part of the team that created a media event for New York City to bring the client's free-space optics technology to life, positioning LightPointe as a proven technology for giving businesses immediate, wireless access to a high-speed broadband connection.
Cook & Schmid successfully arranged media briefings between LightPointe executives and editors and reporters in major publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Scientific American, LightReading, Computer Telephony, Inc. Technology Sourcebook and Reuters. These briefings set the stage for future stories on LightPointe and built relationships for the client so the media was comfortable calling the LightPointe gurus when they had questions about the technology, the sector or the industry.
