December 19th SD Surfrider Chapter Meeting To Feature Holiday Eco-Gift Guide

December 17, 2007
PRESS RELEASE

Anyone looking for last-minute holiday gift ideas that are environmentally friendly should swing by
the Surfrider Foundation's monthly chapter meeting this Wednesday December 19th at Forum Hall
in UTC at 7pm. Surfrider is glad to present a Holiday Gift Guide featuring Cali Bamboo, Mission
Playground, Patagonia, Wai Kula, Black and White Organic Coffee and Spa Samudra. Full details on each of the local vendors can be found on our home page: www.surfriderSD.org

This holiday season give things people need and can use, rather than products plucked from the
shelves simply because they look good.

Choose gifts made of sustainable materials -- bamboo rather than wood (Cali Bamboo), hemp,
organic cotton and wool (Mission Playground), fleece made from recycled soda bottles (Patagonia), post-consumer recycled paper, natural cosmetics (Spa Samudra), earth friendly garden products (Wai Kula) and organic, fair-trade chocolates and coffees (Black and White).
The site for the meeting, Forum Hall, is above the Wells Fargo branch adjacent to the UTC shopping mall. The nearest intersection is La Jolla Village Dr. and Genesee Ave. This meeting is also our annual potluck so feel free to bring a dish but it's not required as there will be plenty of food. For full directions, please visit www.surfriderSD.org
