SAN DIEGO, Calif. – BRIDGE Housing Corporation selected award-winning environmental consulting firm SCS Engineers to perform excavation monitoring services for Celadon at 9th and Broadway, an affordable housing development located at 929 9th Avenue. Celadon will be a high-rise, 250-unit apartment complex with a three-level underground parking structure.

Following the approach SCS created to streamline the redevelopment of PETCO Park, SCS created a Property Mitigation Plan (PMP) for Celadon. The PMP process greatly reduces the time required for redevelopment of projects in urban settings.

Under the contract, SCS monitored the site during soil excavation activities to assist with identifying features of concern and to support the excavation contractor with segregation of soil for proper management.

The project is led by SCS Engineers Vice President Chuck Pryatel of the company’s San Diego office with project staff Chris Crosby and Chuck Houser.
