New Cook & Schmid Staffer Wood Receives PRSSA National Gold Key Award

Kristin Wood, the newest addition to the Cook & Schmid (www.cookandschmid.com) team, was awarded the Public Relations Student Society of America National Gold Key Award. The highest honor an individual can achieve from PRSSA, the National Gold Key Award recognized Wood for academic excellence, PRSSA leadership and the internship she completed with Cook & Schmid during her last semester at San Diego State University, before accepting a full-time position as account coordinator. PRSSA honored its National Gold Key Award recipients at the PRSA National Conference in Philadelphia on October 22. Wood was one of only 18 Gold Key recipients nationwide.

"So Far, 2007 has been an amazing year for me," said Wood. "I graduated from San Diego State University, joined the Cook & Schmid team, and now I have been honored with the National Gold Key award."

As an account coordinator with Cook & Schmid, Wood writes press releases, recommends and coordinates updates to client literature, and assists at media and community events for clients.
