Martin Flores brings more than 35 years of experience in urban design and landscape architecture, with a career that has been deeply shaped by his work in the Bay Area. As Senior Landscape Architect and Urban Designer for the San Jose Redevelopment Agency, he led high-profile projects such as the Guadalupe River Park, Greater Downtown Streetscape Master Plan, Mexican Heritage Plaza, SAP Sharks Center, and Civic Plaza/Fifth Street Streetscape.
Central to Martin’s practice is his dedication to public engagement. He has guided extensive outreach and participatory design processes, ensuring that community voices are central to the planning and design of public spaces. His work has helped neighborhoods reimagine their streetscapes, parks, and cultural landmarks in ways that reflect community identity and values.
In addition to his professional practice, Martin continues to serve the Bay Area through civic involvement, including roles with the San Jose Arena Authority Board of Directors, the San Jose Hall of Fame Committee, and the Willow Glen Business Association.
